Carrie Bradshaw once said, “I like my money right where I can see it: Hanging in my closet.”
I say, “I like my empty booze bottles right where I can see them: In my outgoing text log.” (Seriously, if drunk texting was an Olympic sport, I’d be Ryan Lochte–I may say some dumb sh*t, but I’d definitely win the gold.)
But I also like bottle remnants in my jewelry box, thanks to Smart Glass by designer Kathleen Plate. I have long loved this line of necklaces, earrings, bracelets, and rings made from bottles (yes, some of them beer, wine, and liquor)–the ultimate in recycled accessories! And being based in Atlanta, you can’t work with beverages and not mention Coke, so there’s an entire collection made from Coca-Cola bottles. I’m giving away three pieces in honor of Earth Day:
1. Leave a comment on this blog entry stating what kind of bottle YOU hit (and hopefully recycle) the most (water, Ketel, Cupcake vino, Colt 45?). Make sure to leave your correct email address so I can alert you if you win!
2. Like the post featuring this blog entry on the Witty + Pretty Facebook page.
3. Winners will be picked at random and the contest ends Friday at 5 p.m.
